A short one to give a Sunday opportunity to everyone. Only one climb. Straight out to the River past Pie in the Sky on the Old Pacific Highway. Enjoy the fast, flowing descent then turn right to Brooklyn and if you wish do “The Wall”. Coffee by the riverside at Brooklyn or head back to Hornsby for coffee. It’s your choice!

For a delightful country run to a different ferry, head through Galston Gorge, proceed past the Galston shopping centre, turn right at the roundabout and right onto Old Northern Road. Left onto Cattai Ridge Road and continue down Halcrows Rd. Turn right to follow Wisemans Ferry Rd then take a left onto Sackville Ferry Rd.
Enjoy the short ferry ride then head down Sackville Rd towards Windsor. Pass Tractor 828 cafe on your left. It’ll be packed on a Sunday and our coffee options come later. Join Wilberforce Rd and cross the bridge into Windsor. IF you’re in need of coffee now, turn right into the Windsor shops.
Leaving Windsor the wide bike path on the right side of Windsor Rd is a safer option than the narrow shoulder and fast traffic for the first kilometer to McGraths Hill. At McGraths Hill turn left onto Pitt Town Rd and ride through Pitt Town and Cattai until turning right onto Halcrows Rd which leads into Cattai Ridge Rd.
Turn left on Post Office Rd to the famous Glenorie Bakery for a well-earned coffee. Return home via Wylds Rd and Galston Gorge.

Route: Mont Blanc, Calga, Mooney Mooney, West Gosford, Woy Woy, Umina, and Nameless Hill (Because I can’t think of anything nice to call it….). Fast boys and girls can hammer on the hills and regroup at the top of each one. The ferry to Bobbin Head leaves Patonga at 11:30 and we usually do lunch at St Ives from about 1:30. Set aside the day and relax and enjoy.

Head north to Mt White and out to Calga, then hook a right down into Moonee Creek Gorge and climb up to the Roundabout at Somersby. Turn round and do it all in reverse!
This is a really scenic ride, especially down through the Moonee Creek Gorge. Highly recommended and gets some high quality kilometres into the legs. It’s an out and back ride so go as far as you feel, but let your Ride Leader know your intention.
